Job Description

The Quality Assurance Engineer will be the functional leader for the Quality Team within the selling entity/country with a primary focus on the US, which would include the functions in Houston, Providence, Tulsa, and the customer service functions at the factory locations.

Reporting to the Country Leader, this opportunity provide close collaboration with all operational functions, including engineering and customer facing teams.

As the primary quality engineer and technician at the Houston site, this person be the site representative for all issues relating to product quality and the QMS, including responsibility for Hazardous Area approvals and liaison with the relevant approval bodies.

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering (preferred) or equivalent level in an engineering discipline (5+ years).
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and application within manufacturing.
  • Experience of MRP (Material Requirements Planning), Quality Management System (QMS), meeting or exceeding the requirements of ISO9001, and BS EN ISO IEC 80079:3.
  • Detailed understanding of ISO9001 requirements and principles – ideally, a trained Lead Assessor.
  • Competent deployment of statistics/capability study, Lean 6 Sigma Green Belt and contemporary quality tools.

The Successful Candidate:

  • Promotes the company’s absolute focus on safety as number 1 priority, in all aspects of the business.
  • Quality leadership for a business manufacturing complex, configured, engineered products.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and customer POs.
  • Demonstrated application of Lean/Continuous Improvement tools/techniques, in manufacturing.
  • Good understanding of processes, including HS&E best practice, in manufacturing.
