Director of Business Applications and PlatformsWe are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Business Applications and Platforms to lead the transformation and optimization of the business technology portfolio. You will oversee the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of critical applications, ensuring they drive operational excellence, streamline workflows, and deliver outstanding client service. This role is responsible for vendor selection, application customization and deployment, performance monitoring, and establishing best practices in governance and security. The Director works cross-functionally with senior leaders and technical teams to identify opportunities for improvement, evaluate emerging technologies, and enable the seamless integration of platforms. You will champion training and adoption initiatives and ensure that solutions meet the highest standards in compliance, security, and business impact. Success in this position requires significant experience with legal or professional services technology, expertise in system architecture and integration, and the ability to develop and communicate actionable strategies to non-technical stakeholders. Collaboration, leadership, and a commitment to driving innovation are critical.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipGovernance & IntegrationTeam DevelopmentApplication Lifecycle ManagementOperational ExcellenceContinuous Improvement & InnovationStakeholder PartnershipRequirementsBachelor's degree (preferably in a technology-related field); relevant technical certifications strongly preferred.Extensive experience managing business applications lifecycle within legal, professional services, or related environments.Strong knowledge of business systems architecture, application governance, and system integrationideally with tools such as Salesforce (CRM), Intapp (practice management), NetDocuments (document management), and Elite 3E (practice accounting/financials).Track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.Experience designing and implementing training programs for technology solutions.Advanced vendor management, budgeting, and contract negotiation skills.Expertise in data security, privacy, compliance, disaster recovery, and risk mitigation.Demonstrated ability to drive innovation through technology adoption and process improvement.Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
