Job Summary:
Due to continued growth, CJ Chemicals is looking to add a detail-oriented & organized individual to our friendly, stable team. Assist with the full accounts payable/receivable cycle with data input & validation (in-house ERP/Accounting system, Excel, Google Sheets); work closely with our Finance Manager, Sales Team & Purchasing Manager to onboard new customers, carriers & suppliers. As the role evolves, you will ensure precise financial transactions & reporting; build strong relationships with our partners & be provided ongoing opportunities to expand your skills/responsibilities as an integral member of our Finance/Operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP):
- Match purchase orders to invoices; investigate & resolve any discrepancies
- Track cash flow; verify, process & ensure timely electronic payment of invoices
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date & within agreed terms
Onboarding Customers and Suppliers:
- Coordinate & review the information required to establish new customer & vendor accounts
- Record, process & maintain up-to-date customer & supplier information in the financial system
- Conduct regular reviews of existing accounts to ensure all necessary documentation is valid & current
Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Create & issue customer invoices
- Monitor payments & follow up on any outstanding invoices
- Support Collections Manager to review & reconcile customer accounts; issue monthly statements; resolve discrepancies or disputes
General:
· Enter, update, and maintain comprehensive & accurate financial data & inventory detail, across multiple platforms
- Ad hoc reporting, projects & general administrative support under the guidance of our Finance Manager
Required Attributes:
- Strong numerical aptitude, computer literacy & fast accurate keyboard skills essential
- Experience in a busy, highly customer-centric & quality focused environment - previous accounts &/or sales support experience may be considered an advantage
- As a remote-first position, you will be highly self-motivated & able to demonstrate the ability to prioritize & work with limited supervision

Our ideal candidate would be Michigan-based & available for initial in-person training, plus able to join team meetings up to one-half day per week.
