Must-Haves

  • State of Connecticut E1 or E2 license
  • 3+ years professional experience
  • Knowledge of safety protocols
  • Knowledge of Ethernet communication
  • Ability to work to a height of 40 feet above ground on occasion, operate forklifts, man lifts, cherry pickers and other industrial vehicles
  • Knowledge of Electrical Power Distribution and Lighting Circuits with volage rating of DC to 500 Volts and AC to 13,800 volts.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (N.E.C.)
  • Example: wire sizing, fusing, practices, safeties, Lock-Out/Tag Out, Emergency Stop circuits, grounding, and use of handbook
  • Possess knowledge of relay control circuits, including AC, DC, drives

Plusses:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • DC Servo motor preferred

Day-to-day

A manufacturing company is seeking a Production Electrician to work on-site in Milford, Connecticut. The first 6-12 months will be spent training on the first shift; however, once training is completed, this electrician will work the third shift (11:30PM to 7:30 AM). This electrician will be in charge of working on custom machines built to manufacture the company's product. They will spend 50% of their time handling assembly, 40% on packaging, and 10% on ad hoc projects. Ad hoc projects include the creation of new packaging equipment. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with a variety of groups, including managers and operators on a daily basis.
