About The Position:

The Human Rights Foundation (HRF) is seeking qualified applicants for the video production internship position. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic, creative, and high-achieving team to significantly increase HRF’s global profile and community through video storytelling.   


About You:

If you are the right candidate for this position, you will have a deep interest in producing and editing videos for social media platforms, including Instagram Reels, X, and YouTube Shorts. You are adept at creating engaging content tailored to each platform and inspired to use video as a vehicle for making a positive impact.

You have experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects for video editing. You know how to maintain an organized project workflow and can effectively incorporate feedback and notes into your video projects. You possess extraordinary attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, and excellent communication skills. Additionally, you are highly passionate about human rights, political freedom, civil liberties, and the mission of HRF.


Responsibilities:

  • Work with the head of video, the associate producer, and the social media team to brainstorm and develop creative video concepts.
  • Edit video content for social media platforms, including Instagram, X, YouTube, Linkedin
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices for video content on social media platforms.
  • Assist with editing HRF’s Dissidents and Dictators podcast episodes
  • Search editorial assets and archival media 
  • Transcode proxy files and sync multi-cam footage
  • Maintain an organized project workflow and file structure in HRF’s server (network-attached storage or NAS)
  • Provide support with on-site videography


Skills & Requirements 

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro with the ability to create high quality video content
  • Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects with the ability to create engaging graphics and visual effects for videos. 
  • A strong affinity for HRF's mission.
  • A passion for human rights, political freedom, and civil liberties. 
  • Ability to work from the New York office is required.
