Attollo Engineering is seeking a Firmware Development Engineer to develop firmware for handheld and body-worn imaging, laser and sensor systems.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary engineering team
  • Work with imaging, laser, and sensor systems and develop firmware for control, image collection, image analysis and image manipulation
  • Operating within Linux environment on various SOM platforms interfaced with sensor hardware and human interfaces
  • Develop firmware and image processing pipelines for cutting-edge infrared sensors and lasers
  • Develop drivers and graphical user interfaces for OLED and other microdisplays
  • Programming for system characterization and validation
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with industry standards and company policies.


Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in electrical and computer engineering, computer science, or closely related degree areas.


Preferred Skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with embedded code development and validation
  • Experience operating in a Linux or other environment with multiple programming languages such as C, C# and Python
  • Experience interfacing with visible, low-light, infrared cameras and microdisplay systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, with a commitment to quality and safety.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities as needed.
