PrideStaff is working with the North American service center for a German machinery manufacturer servicing many great industries, including automotive, pharmaceutical & medical, oil & gas industries. They are seeking to add an additional field service technician who will travel to client locations to handle installation of their equipment as well as repair sevice calls. This is a position which requires extensive travel ~75% of the time.


FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN DUTIES AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES CONSIST OF:

• Provide effective maintenance, warranty, and repair services (structural and routine) on all company machine product lines.


•Troubleshooting and repair of machinery (electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic)


•Setting and verifying machine hydraulic pressures and determining the overall condition of machines through inspection and operation


•Performing tasks such as mechanical subassembly installation and or replacement components


An ideal candidate must be able to read and understand hydraulic prints and trace wiring to various components on the machine. A PC is provided with equipment-specific software to aid in machine diagnostics and reporting. The use and fundamental understanding of a multimeter is required. The equipment operates at high voltages (3-phase power; 480 Volt) and low voltage (24 volts) for control signals.



REQUIREMENTS:


We are looking for a candidate with good interpersonal skills and a self-starter.


Good manual dexterity is required. Must have a mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot or repair hydraulic systems and the ability to work on your feet in a factory environment for up to 12 hours per day. Physical effort is required to move objects weighing up to 75 pounds.


Overtime may be required. In addition, the Field Service Technician must be willing to work hourly schedules that are not likely to be uniform day-to-day and must be willing to travel (within North America) to meet customer needs.


The employee will work out of the Hebron, Kentucky facility when not traveling and must live near the Cincinnati - Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG). Traveling is required 75% of the time, primarily by air, some by car. The Field Service Technicians are usually home on weekends. When weekend work is required (exception), assignments are made in the Hebron facility to promote a proper work-life balance.


Pay is dependent on experience.


EDUCATIONAL / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or technical certification in electrical/instrumentation technology is often preferred).

• 5 -10 years of mechanical experience, such as automotive repair and diagnostics, HVAC, or heavy equipment repair.


An onboarding process will occur in Hebron for many months to familiarize the candidate with our equipment. During this time, experienced employees will work alongside the candidate. Senior technicians will accompany you during initial field assignments.
