Job Summary:

Diverse Lynx is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Orthopedic Technician to join our team. As an Orthopedic Technician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our orthopedic patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for procedures and document their level of discomfort.
• Instruct patients on cast care, wound care, swelling, and splint application and removal.
• Assist with the application and execution of orthopedic procedures and services under the direction of a physician, NP, or PA.
• Perform designated diagnostic tests and assist with follow-up scheduling needs.
• Provide product and technical assistance to customers, including product preparation and procedural consultation for physicians and staff.
• Apply and remove splints, plaster, and fiberglass casts, and request x-rays as indicated under the direction of a physician.
• Clean and re-process equipment and supplies based on standard work and department guidelines.
• Assist physicians with scribing in the EMR during office exams when needed.
• Set up exam and procedure rooms based on patient visit needs.
• Assist physicians, NPs, or PAs in the examination room/procedure room as needed for data collection of vital signs, symptoms, analysis, treatment, and care of the orthopedic patient.
• Record information in medical records.
• Train and assist other team members within scope.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• MA certification

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position in a fast-paced medical office environment.
