Overview: As an Account Executive- Corporate Employee Benefits in our Mid to Large and Strategic Market segments, you will play a key role in supporting consultants by managing client accounts and evaluating medical, dental, life, and disability benefits plans. You will exercise independent thinking and complete projects with minimal guidance from consultants, often working under tight deadlines and pressure.


Responsibilities:


Data Entry and Analysis:

  • Assist the consulting team in gathering, organizing, entering, and analyzing data using Excel spreadsheets for various client projects.
  • Focus on data analysis and manage portions of projects, including reviewing the work of junior analysts.


Marketing Efforts:

  • Gather benchmarking, utilization, or rate data from vendors via RFPs.
  • Interpret data and summarize responses in Excel or PowerPoint for client presentations.


Plan Design Consolidation:

  • Collect data from clients and vendors to analyze the impact of healthcare plan consolidations.
  • Organize and summarize plan design details and costs in Excel for team analysis.
  • Verify data accuracy and follow up with vendors regarding any discrepancies.


Cost Projections and Vendor Renewal Workups:

  • Gather data to develop cost projections and evaluate vendor renewal proposals for experience-rated clients.
  • Utilize results for client renewal and budget meetings.


Tracking Claims Experience:

  • Collect and analyze healthcare cost data from clients and vendors.
  • Compare actual versus expected costs using Excel templates, providing monthly or quarterly reports to clients.


Health and Benefits Product Knowledge:

  • Understand Health & Benefits products, services, and tools.
  • Learn about vendor/carrier markets, advanced underwriting, financial skills, and technical tools through training and mentorship.


Project Management & Consulting:

  • Ensure the quality and timeliness of client deliverables.
  • Assist in developing budgets and billing reports.
  • Participate in client calls and meetings as needed.
  • Delegate tasks and review the work of junior colleagues.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise client communications.


Benchmarking Reports:

  • Gather and analyze health benefits data from national surveys.
  • Compare client’s plan information to industry or geographic benchmarks.
  • Present benchmarking reports to clients after discussing data cuts with consultants.


Requirements:

  • BA/BS preferred.
  • 3-5 years of industry experience required.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Required to obtain and maintain appropriate licenses as per state regulations and NFP policies.
  • Availability to travel as needed.
  • Life & Health License required.
