Construction Project Manager

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with equipment manufacturers, engineers, and contractors to ensure project success
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Review and approve project plans, specifications, and contracts
  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments
  • Develop drawings and technical specifications as required
  • Perform engineering calculations as required
  • Review engineering drawings and produce field sketches to support Construction & Engineering
  • Field management of construction and equipment contractors including quality surveillance, field engineering, cost and budget management, and scheduling
  • Track back charges and negotiate with Contractors – defend every dollar like it’s your own
  • Uphold project standards by adhering to project controls & procedures
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements
  • Review design and financial projections to verify accurate and reasonable project plans
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to clarify requirements and address specific needs
  • Document and report project progress to stakeholders and clients

What You'll Need

  • 5-10 years’ experience working on fast-track projects
  • Demonstrated experience and/or skills working on multiple projects of varied degrees of complexity at the same time
  • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment, with strong work ethic, attention to details and find root causes for issues
  • Goal orientated
  • Professional Engineer license considered a plus
  • AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong communication skills required. Must read, speak and understand English language in verbal and written communication
  • Shows a safety first mindset; recommends improvements to make the workplace safer for self and others

Your Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Project Management, or equivalent experience required.
