We are currently looking for a Permitting Coordinator to join our team

What you’ll be doing:

  • Pulling permits at job sites in order for the project to progress on time
  • Assists in the coordination of project activities to ensure project set-up and close-out progresses on schedule and within budget constraints
  • Composes correspondence and reports as required
  • Advises Project Managers of potential problems, work interferences, and scheduling difficulties and assists in resolving such problems as requested
  • Checks deadlines on all incoming requests and takes initiative on appropriate priorities.
  • Prepares special reports per supervisor request
  • Other duties as assigned

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years of permit processing experience or 3+ years of work experience in the electrical or construction industry
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (including Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Ability to prioritize tasks according to deadlines and urgency and complete them in a timely and professional manner
  • Interpersonal Skills: maintains confidentiality, remains open to others' ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things
  • Oral communication: speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, demonstrates group presentation skills and conducts meetings
  • Written Communication: edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively and is able to read and interpret written information
  • Quality control: demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality
  • Adaptability: adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
  • Dependability: consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
