Causal IQ is on the search for a qualified for a Strategic Media Planner in Chicagoland, could that be you? The Strategic Media Planner will be responsible for the design, execution, and communication of the digital media plans and proposals for Causal IQ’s most important clients. Our newest Strategic Media Planner will work with Causal IQ sales teams to understand client needs and requirements, conducts media planning research, analyze competitive activity in the marketplace, and translate learnings into actionable insights for client facing summaries and presentations. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic proposals for digital campaigns.
  • Review RFPs and prepare sales proposals and meeting decks.
  • Assist with sales/pitch presentations by preparing key data points, findings, and relevant research.
  • Coordinating with the customer, account team, support team, and technical personnel on all sides to meet customer needs.
  • Identify enhancement opportunities and drive creative solutions that meet client marketing initiatives and anticipate future needs.
  • Ensure a good working relationship with account and client teams to facilitate flawless execution of plans.
  • Ability to commit to a 40-hour workweek. 


Key Competencies

  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate autonomously.
  • Strong understanding of the following programmatic digital channels: display, video and connected tv.
  • Strong understanding of data sources and/or technologies, such as: Syndicated Consumer (e.g. MRI), Syndicated Sales (e.g. IRI, Nielsen), Media Consumption (e.g. ComScore, Epsilon, Samba), 1st Party (e.g. CRM), 3rd Party Measurement (e.g. FourSquare, NCS, IRI, Lucid), and Digital Ad Servers (e.g. Campaign Manager, Sizmek);
  • Strong understanding of presentation software, including: MS Office Suite experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strategic thinker.
  • Strong planning, scheduling, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to various audiences.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.


Experience and Education

  • 2+ years relevant work experience, programmatic preferred.
  • Degree or relevant coursework experience

 

Salary Range

The expected base salary range for this position is $55k to $65k. We will take into consideration many factors including geographic location, work experience, market demands and conditions, and other job-related factors. The base pay is subject to change and will be determined based on these job-related factors.
