Accounts Payable Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounts payable process, including receiving, processing, and verifying invoices, and entering accurate data into the accounting software.
- Handle outgoing wires, ACH transactions, and Positive Pay on bank websites; create requests for funds (RFFs) for monthly recurring payables and process vendor checks.
- Perform reconciliations of selected balance sheet accounts and respond to vendor inquiries, including reconciling statements, researching discrepancies, and ensuring timely follow-up.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls for payables, proper coding, authorizations, and check signatures; support month-end accounts payable reconciliation and collaborate with the loan services department for accurate daily loan deposits.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Understanding of the accounts payable process, nonprofit accounting a plus
- Strong prioritization, organization, and time management skills to excel in a semi-autonomous, fast-paced environment.
- Maintain confidentiality with sensitive information and handle electronic communications with precision and detail.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills by building relationships with internal and external partners and effectively communicating issues through phone, in-person, and email interactions.
- Adapt to changing procedures collaborate successfully with colleagues in both local and satellite offices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Accounting Software, Adobe Professional, shared file systems, CRM systems, and Business Central Dynamics (preferred).
