Join us as we digitally connect the world and shape the future.The role as part of Lumen's Finance Modernization and Simplification (M&S) initiative, drives the transition of billing, collections, procurement, and payment processes from the U.S. to India Shared Services. This role collaborates closely with GPOs, the AI Finance Pod, and finance leadership to ensure process standardization, digital enablement, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and actively seek opportunities to drive innovation through AI, automation, and evolving technologies, demonstrating growth mindset and adaptability to advancing digital finance landscapes.This is a remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S., with a preference for those based in the Denver, CO metro area. International travel will be required for this position (20-30% expected).The Main ResponsibilitiesQ2C and P2P Transition Leadership Lead transition execution across Q2C (billing, collections, cash app) and P2P (invoice processing, payments) workflows.Coordinate with U.S. and India teams for documentation, readiness, and stabilization.Support transition planning, KT sessions, and process validation post-migration.Transformation & Digital Enablement Partner with AI Finance Pod to identify and embed automation in billing, payment matching, and dispute resolution.Contribute to AI use case development and testing.Ensure alignment between digital tools, ERP, and data systems.Governance, Controls, and Compliance Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, and financial policy requirements.Maintain documentation and audit support during transition.Monitor post-migration performance for process adherence.People Leadership Collaborate as part of a cross-functional team focused on operational excellence.Support knowledge transfer and peer training during transition cycles.Stakeholder Partnership Engage with GPOs, Shared Services teams, and AI COE to ensure cohesive delivery.Report progress and risk mitigation to the Senior Manager and leadership.Facilitate coordination between upstream and downstream functions.Key DeliverablesStandardized and automated Q2C and P2P workflows.Successful transition to India Shared Services with no disruption.Enhanced visibility through process KPIs.Improved invoice accuracy and payment efficiency.What We Look For In A CandidateRequired:Minimum 5-6+ years of experience in finance, specifically in corporate controllership, with hands-on involvement in Q2C and/or P2P processes.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, or Business.Strong familiarity and understanding of both quote to cash and procure to pay processes, with experience in finance operations within these areas.Experience working with SAP, Oracle, Workday or comparable ERP platform.Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to document processes, train counterparts (including offshore teams), and manage cross-functional process transitions.Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and drive innovation in process improvement.Willing and able to travel internationally (including to India).Preferred:Experience in a role supporting finance transformation or shared services migration in a global context.Prior work in or with global accounting firms or technology companies.Familiarity with Salesforce, Palantir, AWS, or Microsoft platforms is a plus.Exposure to automation, AI-driven finance solutions, and digital enablement initiatives.Knowledge of compliance with SOX, internal controls, and audit requirements during transformations.Leadership in training peers, supporting knowledge transfer, and fostering operational excellence.Compensation This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.
