We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Buyer Planner to join the team. In this position, you will play a vital role in optimizing the inventory management processes and ensuring the efficient flow of finished goods through the 3PL warehouses.

Buyer Planner Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels of finished goods in 3PL warehouses
  • Ensure the timely and accurate recording of all inventory transactions in SAP or the designated ERP system
  • Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies in inventory records
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, stockouts and excess stock situations
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify the underlying issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve inventory-related challenges
  • Collaborate with the demand planning team to provide insights and data for accurate demand forecasting
  • Assist in developing and maintaining demand and supply plans to optimize inventory levels
  • Generate and analyze reports to track key inventory performance metrics
  • Prepare regular reports on inventory status, trends, and recommendations for improvement
  • Develop ad-hoc reports and analyses as requested by management
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements related to inventory management and 3PL warehouse operations
  • Recommend and implement efficiency-enhancing strategies to reduce costs and improve accuracy


Buyer Planner Requirements:

  • 1+ years of inventory control experience
  • Proficiency in an ERP system, preferably SAP
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions
  • Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and across different departments, while working independently as required
