The Role:

USG are partnered with one of the leading Material Handling/Forklift Dealership in DFW to secure a Director of Rental & Transportation - an integral role to this companies continued growth.


Being one of the largest MH dealerships in the States, they have also grown 80%+ over the last 2 years and this particular position will be the heartbeat for the outgoing operations between 7 locations. We are seeking a proactive leader to 'take the reigns' and challenge the current setup while wearing multiple hats in the following sectors listed below.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage a large fleet of Rental Equipment while keeping utilizations rates at their max potentials and trimming the fleet where needed.
  • Optimize internal distribution of new, used & rental equipment across 7 locations.
  • Reduce spend on 3PL on new equipment by growing the transportation department in house.
  • Manage & grow a cross functional team between both Rental & Transportation departments.
  • Reduce costs where applicable between departments.
  • Co-ordinate delivery schedules to customers to align with business goals.
  • Set overall objectives to lead from the front and achieve expectations.


Experience Required:


  • 8+ Years experience managing large rental fleets, preferably at a Forklift/Heavy Equipment dealership.
  • Proven experience optimizing internal distribution, preferably at a Forklift/Heavy Equipment dealership.
  • Located in DFW.
  • 5+ Years leadership experience managing cross functional teams.
  • Desire to lead from the front and make changes.
