Social Media Copywriter
Hybrid preferred, remote if in the same time zone
Extendable Contract position

Overview The Social Media Copywriter will create and edit engaging copy to drive social media engagement, maintain brand voice, and support the Organic Social team within the Omni Marketing organization.

Responsibilities

• Write captions for daily content (minimum 14 stories/week) across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest
• Influence copy for Facebook & Instagram Stories
• Support posting to Threads
• Write script copy for live events
• Engage with fans & social media influencers
• Maintain brand voice & define voice & tone for customer care teams
• Translate marketing messages to match social media landscape & customer voice
• Identify and apply trends to drive innovation
• Study products across all categories for storytelling & customer education
• Collaborate with Brand Strategy, Organic Social, designers, and analytics teams
• Ensure messages align with seasonal and overall strategy
• Meet ongoing deadlines
• Present concepts and projects to Organic Social team and Brand Strategy leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field
• 3-5 years of professional writing experience with a portfolio
• Excellent knowledge of social media best practices
• Experience in retail, fashion, beauty, or journalism preferred
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet multiple fast-paced deadlines
• Ability to multitask and manage key business priorities
• Strong team player with great interpersonal skills
• Ability to think innovatively and adapt to achieve desired results
• Proficient in MAC, Word, Keynote/PowerPoint, and Excel

Technical Skills Needed

• Strong conversational writing skills
• Social media-relevant vocabulary
• Adaptability to different tones of voice
• Knowledge of SEO
