We are currently seeking a proactive and dynamic Sales Engineer with substantial experience in customer engagement, specifically in the enterprise and large account sectors. As part of our team, you will shape our product offerings, services, and business direction, partnering with teams across Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Product, and Operations, and engaging with stakeholders of all seniority levels.

Your primary role will be as an advocate for our market-leading Structured Finance Platform (used by the Sell Side, Buy Side and Servicers/Administrators), taking on increasing responsibility and platform direction as you progress.


How will your expertise contribute to everyone's success:


  • 6+ years of experience demonstrating and selling enterprise software in the Structured Credit ecosystem
  • Proven track record of working with demanding business customers
  • Demonstrable experience working with large strategic enterprise accounts
  • Familiarity with investment technologies and services
  • A history of owning and resolving customer issues under pressure
  • Demonstrable experience leading and completing projects
  • Ability to work with and gain input and resources from multiple teams and disciplines
  • Proven ability to explain technical solutions to a business-focused customer
  • A proactive, self-sufficient approach, and willingness to learn new skills and disciplines
  • Familiarity with typical system migration processes and tools
  • Understanding the topics of system migration and the ability to find ways to simplify the migration process


Desirable Technical Skills:


  • Distributed Systems and Architectures: Understanding of distributed systems and microservice architectures, with a particular emphasis on multi-tenancy. Experience in Domain-Driven Design (DDD) development is highly desirable, as it forms the backbone of our development strategy
  • Data Stack Knowledge: Experience with a range of big data stack technologies including Databricks, TrinoDB, and AWS services such as DMS, MKS, and Glue. Experience with DeltaLake and Airflow is also essential, as these form key components of our data management and ETL processes
  • Security Best Practices: Strong understanding of security best practices, with a focus on frameworks such as the Center for Internet Security (CIS) and DORA. This understanding should extend to practical application


What will be your goals:


  • Technical Pre-Sales Support: Provide vital technical advice and support to sales opportunities, engaging with technical contacts in customer and reseller partner organizations. Your goal will be to ensure Cardo's services are positioned correctly, understood, and any technical objections are convincingly addressed. This will involve product demonstrations, presentations to senior customer contacts, and writing formal RFP response documents. You will also prepare strategic high-level implementation plans. Close collaboration with sales colleagues is an integral part of this role.
  • Proof-Of-Concept Support: Working in conjunction with our Engineering and Delivery team, you will support more complex solutions and oversee the implementation and success of pre-sales proofs-of-concept. Experience in project management and working with technology partners is beneficial.
