Job Summary

Monday - Friday 8:00a - 5:00p. The Business Development Officer leads and manages a variety of complex, strategic projects to develop and direct strategic, growth and operational objectives for multiple sites and/or departments across FMOL Physician Group. Responsible for implementing strategic initiatives and all operational aspects of assigned areas. Evaluates opportunities to achieve improvements, increase patient satisfaction, create operational effectiveness, and potentially increase market share. Develops and recommends policies and procedures and monitors their utilization.


Job Requirements

  • 10 years' experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong analytical, financial skills and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated skills in leading, organizing, and directing special projects. Demonstrated ability to communicate persuasively, both orally and in writing and influence management.


Job Function

  1. Operations Leadership
  2. Develop and direct strategic, growth and operations objectives for multiple sites and/or departments across the Health System in identified areas with opportunities for consolidation and operational oversight.
  3. Oversee department operations and management teams in areas of responsibility.
  4. Conduct a needs analysis for the identified area in multiple sites or departments across the Health System in order to identify and apply effective problem solving expertise to improve operational efficiency.
  5. Lead financial management activities within area of responsibility, including the creation of annual budgets, variance analysis and monthly financial reports; the development of annual capital budgets and cost benefit analysis for new and/or expanding programs and services
  6. Administer quality programs and services that integrate hospital resources and high quality health care services.
  7. Remain current with the latest trends in field of expertise through participation in job-relevant seminars and workshops, attendance at professional conferences, and affiliations with national and state professional organizations.
  8. Monitor divisional staffing requirements and reports identified problems in an effort to ensure that employees needs are met with understanding and respect. Initiates and defines standards for the evaluation of staff in all reporting departments and monitors personnel evaluation standards in order to ensure efficient personnel resource utilization that demonstrates understanding and respect for employee needs.
  9. Data Governance, Reporting, and Analytics
  10. Oversee Business Intelligence data collection, data management and data governance functions across areas of reporting and analytics Health System wide. Data Governance - Focus on establishing organization constituencies and a framework of policies, processes and enabling technologies to ensure that enterprise data is owned and stewarded accurately and consistently to meet business goals.
  11. Devise, develop and implement credible and sustainable solutions for critical data analytics opportunities across the Health System by collaborating with business areas and IT.
  12. Implement information access and delivery strategies in order to improve control and ensure data is appropriately shared both internally and externally.
  13. Develop reporting packages both standard and ad hoc analytics to meet the needs of management.
  14. Measure and report the overall effectiveness and successes of the Global health System strategy and performance improvement initiatives.
  15. Provide measurement and reporting mechanisms to support project progression.
  16. Collaboration and Partnership
  17. Serves as a member of the Health System Leadership by participating in the development and implementation of plans, policies, and programs, and the formation of corporate goals, objectives and strategies. Assists in the creation of development of programs and services that are based on organizational goals, objectives and community health care needs.
  18. Serves on administrative committees and attends meetings to provide consultation and recommendations to leadership regarding the department's area of expertise.
