Research And Development Engineer

A large Medical Device client is in need of up to four R&D Engineers for a 12-month assignment onsite in the Minneapolis area. There is a likely opportunity for extension based on performance. This engineer will be working on R&D sustaining activities, and should be at an Engineer 2 or 3 level. Strong communication skills with cross-functional teams is essential.
A minimum of 3 days/week onsite is required. 4 or 5 days/week onsite is preferred.
Top Requirements:
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
- 3-5 years of Medical Device industry experience
- Experience with class II and class III devices
- Cardiovascular device experience is preferred
- Must demonstrate strong experience with sustaining R&D activities (i.e. running MDR vigilance, material obsolescence, vendor qualifications, etc)
- Experience in design, development, test, and engineering documentation
- Solid experimental design and statistical analysis knowledge
- Strong skill set in operational line continuity, submissions, design file remediations, etc.
- Ability to operate independently with little to no guidance
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with Windchill is preferred
