Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Manufacturing Sales Manager to drive our outside sales efforts. This role is pivotal in expanding our market presence and establishing strong client relationships within the industrial sector. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of technical sales, with the ability to effectively communicate the benefits of our custom roller solutions and services.


Key Responsibilities:

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Develop and execute strategies to identify and acquire new clients. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers in target industries, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.


Technical Sales Expertise: Present and sell our range of industrial rubber covered rollers and associated services, including roller resurfacing and regrinding. Utilize your technical knowledge to explain product features, benefits, and applications to clients, tailoring solutions to meet their specific needs.


Consultative Selling: Engage in consultative sales processes, understanding client requirements and challenges. Provide expert advice on roller applications, recommending custom solutions that align with their operational needs.


Collaboration with the Product Line Management and Process Engineering Team: Work closely with internal teammates to ensure a seamless transition of client referrals for detailed engineering, design work, and final pricing. Communicate client needs and project specifics accurately to facilitate precise estimating and quoting.


Market Analysis & Strategy Development: Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Develop and implement sales strategies to capture new business opportunities and drive growth.


Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and client interactions. Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market insights to inform strategic decision-making.


Problem Solving & Issue Resolution: Address and resolve client concerns and issues promptly, leveraging technical expertise and collaboration with internal teams to deliver effective solutions.


Product Knowledge & Training: Stay updated on product developments, industry standards, and technological advancements. Provide feedback to the internal team on market demands and potential product improvements.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years outside sales experience within the industrial sector, preferably related to manufacturing, engineering, or technical products.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate complex product specifications and solutions.
  • Experience working for a rubber product manufacturing company would be preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a consultative sales approach.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales reporting tools.
  • Ability to travel regularly (up to 50% of the time) to meet with customers and attend industry events, typically within 200 miles of Cleveland, OH.
