Our Client, Argosy Capital, has a newly created role for an Associate/Sr. Associate of Capital Raising. This person will be a key member of the team and be responsible for the fulfillment of both internal and external components of the private capital fund raising and investor relations processes. This will include driving capital raising efforts for the firm’s Private Equity, Credit, Secondaries and Healthcare funds alongside the firm’s Managing Partners and the Principal, Investor Relations, as well as other stakeholders within the firm and placement agents.


This individual will be significantly involved in the new product development process, the identification and procurement of new investors and the preparation of targeted product offering materials including private placement memoranda and marketing pitch books. This individual must be able to provide input as well as overall product marketing plans and client/prospect coverage.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support new capital raise initiatives
  • Develop and execute on strategic fundraising plans to source new investors through extensive research on investors’ and their consultants’ activity, leveraging databases and other tools.
  • Identify potential investors and develop proper points of contact, both direct and indirect, to cultivate new investor relationships across investor types (including endowments, foundations, funds of funds, pensions, institutional RIAs, family offices, and high-net-worth investors), and the consultants who serve as advisors to these investors.
  • Execute outreach campaigns to prospective investors through email, industry conferences, and other networking activity.
  • Seek out and coordinate with team to respond to RFPs/DDQs/information requests from investors and consultants.
  • Initiate, schedule and attend meetings
  • Assist in preparing for investor meetings and presentations
  • Populate and update CRM software with outreach/call/meeting updates
  • Represent Argosy at industry conferences and other fundraising events
  • Be able to clearly articulate the firm’s strategy to prospective investors
  • Assist in the production of private placement memorandums and marketing presentations
  • Participate in investment pipeline calls, read investment memos to enhance knowledge of the firm’s investments and be able to effectively communicate transactions to prospective fund investors
  • Compile research on the institutional investment industry
  • Industry benchmarking
  • Assist with the maintenance of Argosy’s website
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Work with Legal and Compliance departments for review of regulatory compliance for materials produced
  • Understand regulatory compliance issues as it relates to investor marketing


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 to 10 years of capital raising or business development experience
  • Client-facing experience
  • Experience working in DocuSign, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe and understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of initiative and strong work ethic
  • Strong attention to detail; excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, manage varied tasks simultaneously and thrive within a lean team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
