Our client, a global steward of retirement savings for millions, manages over $5 trillion in Equity funds. These funds are handled by portfolio managers who are among the most professional, demanding, and thoughtful in the industry, requiring highly performant applications with accurate data and on-time portfolio holdings.
The Run organization is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of these tools. The team is responsible for monitoring batch jobs, applications, and business processes, as well as addressing customer inquiries.
As an Equity Trade Floor Production Support Analyst, you will be stationed on the Equity Trade floor, providing critical production support to portfolio management, trading teams, capital markets, security lending, data (benchmark and security reference), and Investment Book of Records teams. The supported applications span a range of technologies, including custom-built software, SaaS solutions, AWS microservice architectures, and monolithic systems.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide intermediate support for applications and databases, coordinating and executing technical procedures to resolve production issues.
- Monitor production systems for alerts, outages, and issues, performing root cause analysis to mitigate risk and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Ensure support requests are resolved within service level agreements, communicating statuses and resolutions effectively.
- Write and update production support documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for improvement, make recommendations, and assist in implementing changes.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with business partners.
- Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong problem-solving skills with a structured approach to troubleshooting. Curiosity and attention to detail are essential.
- Minimum of three years of related work experience, with at least one year in Information Technology.
- An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems is preferred, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Knowledge of AWS development and operating requirements; AWS Developer or Architect certifications are preferred.
This role is ideal for candidates with a blend of business and technical acumen, particularly those with an understanding of the portfolio management and trading lifecycle and the ability to troubleshoot technical and business issues.
