We can custom design a product to meet customer-specific applications & requirements.

Job Summary

Lincoln Electric Products Co Inc. is seeking a Switchgear - Electrical Engineer to join its dynamic team. This role is available immediately and provides a great growth opportunity for the right candidate.

It is a full-time, exempt position, and the candidate will be reporting directly to the Leader of the Engineering Group.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Schematics Creation: Using advanced CAD software such as AutoCAD, design and develop detailed electrical schematics and control diagrams for switchgear systems. Produce comprehensive electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control diagrams for use in the manufacturing process.
  • Component Selection and Specification: Participate in the selection and specification of switchgear components, including circuit breakers, contactors, transformers, and other electrical components, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Bills of Materials and Wiring Diagrams: Prepare detailed bills of materials (BOM) and wiring diagrams to facilitate manufacturing and ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaboration and Integration: Collaborate effectively with mechanical engineers, technicians, and other professionals to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with mechanical systems. Work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve design and manufacturing issues.
  • Compliance and Standards Adherence: Stay current with industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies related to switchgear design and manufacturing. Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety codes and standards, such as ANSI, UL, and the National Electric Code (NEC).
  • Documentation and Quality Control: Maintain accurate documentation of design processes and updates. Conduct thorough reviews and quality checks on designs to ensure precision and adherence to standards.
  • Project Management: Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines. Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders and management.

Requirements:

  • 5+years of switchgear manufacturing experience with a solid engineering backgrounds.
  • Proficient in using CAD software such as AutoCAD.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in design work.
  • Well-versed in ANSI and UL standards for switchgear.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and safety codes.
