Role Description:

As a Print Shop Specialist at Mylarmen, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our printing equipment, including two Mimaki large format digital printers, a flatbed diecutter, and 3D printers. This role requires a meticulous eye for detail and a deep understanding of printing processes to ensure the highest quality output for all projects. You will handle everything from routine cleaning and maintenance of the printers to managing print jobs, performing quality control checks, and troubleshooting any printing issues. In addition, you will be involved in building sample bags and boxes, and will support our design team with basic Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop work.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and Operate Printers: Oversee the daily operation of Mimaki large format digital printers, flatbed diecutter, and 3D printers, ensuring they are running efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintenance and Cleaning: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of all printing equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Print Job Management: Schedule, set up, and execute print jobs, ensuring all jobs are completed accurately and on time.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on all prints, identifying and correcting any errors or inconsistencies to maintain high standards.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix any technical issues with the printing equipment, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth operations.
  • Sample Production: Build and assemble sample bags and boxes, utilizing the flatbed diecutter and other equipment as needed.
  • Design Support: Assist the design team with basic tasks in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, including adjustments to designs and preparing files for printing.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest printing technologies and techniques, suggesting improvements to processes and equipment usage.


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: $18-$22 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Paid Time Off: 10 paid vacation days and 5 paid sick days per year.
  • Personal Days: 4 personal days (unpaid) per year.
