Job Overview
Rightworks' Financial Planning and Analysis team is seeking a Senior FP&A Manager, Revenue to help execute the company’s vision of long-term profitable growth. This person will play a critical role in driving financial planning and analysis activities related to topline forecasting (ARR, Bookings, Billings, Revenue), providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making and optimize financial performance. This is a highly visible role requiring the candidate to partner closely with business leads at various levels. The ideal candidate will possess intellectual horsepower, top tier financial modeling and communication skills, solid knowledge of accounting, and a mindset of continuous improvement.
Preference given to candidates who can work two days per week out of the Nashua, NH office.
Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly / quarterly forecast cadence for topline performance (ARR, Bookings, Billings, Revenue). Analyze historical performance and trends to identify patterns and forecast accuracy improvements, continuously refining forecasting methodologies.
- Develop and maintain data-driven, driver-based revenue model aligned with business strategy and operational model.
- Prepare and review monthly / quarterly management reports - analyzing financial results, distilling / synthesizing key trends, assessing current and future business risk and opportunities, and communicating key messages to senior management.
- Participate in data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership to support strategic and operational decision making.
- Build strong relationships cross-functionally (Accounting, Data, Sales) to continually drive forecast accuracy, improve processes and automation, and establish rigor in measuring the business.
- Ensure revenue recognition principles (e.g., ASC 606) and their implications on financial reporting are considered in the forecasting process. Work closely with the Revenue Recognition team to ensure accurate and compliant revenue recognition practices.
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in relevant field
- 7+ years of experience in corporate finance, preferably with a focus on revenue forecasting. Prior experience in technology and software industry preferred
- Deep understanding of different software revenue models and related revenue recognition principles required
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, effectively influencing senior stakeholders and narrating models and results to senior leaders in a useful, concise, and outcome-oriented way
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build working relationships at all levels
- Problem solving and continuous improvement orientation
- Advanced excel skills. Experience with financial systems such as Sage Intacct, Adaptive Planning, PowerBI and SFDC
