Tioga Capital, LLC (“Tioga”) is a private investment firm based in Atlanta, GA that takes an opportunistic approach to investing across the real estate capital structure. Tioga Capital has invested over $400 million throughout the real estate capital structure, primarily in the Sun Belt region. Past and present investments include the following asset classes; multi-family, office, industrial, retail, condominium/residential, assisted living, outdoor media, self-storage and land. The firm generally targets assets valued between $10 to $40 million, where Tioga believes property ownership is fragmented and market inefficiencies exist. Tioga’s investors include family offices, registered investment advisors and institutions.


Job Description:

Tioga is looking to hire a Vice President of Business Development who will cover the US Sun Belt Region. The Vice President’s primary responsibility will include sourcing real estate bridge loan origination and opportunistic real estate joint ventures. This is an ideal role for someone who is looking to work with an entrepreneurial team in a dynamic work environment.

The Vice President, Business Development’s primary responsibilities will include the following:

  • Articulation of Tioga’s real estate investment/financing offerings to owners, brokers, lenders, developers, homebuilders, property managers and other intermediaries
  • Generate new investment leads through various channels.
  • Assist in creation of Investment Committee Memorandums and presentation materials.
  • Participation in execution involving; negotiating the terms of the deal and liaising with internal teams to completion of documentation (onboarding, document reviews and client servicing for the duration of the deal). As needed, coordinating with third parties in due diligence process

 

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in real estate investing, lending or debt capital markets
  • A well-articulated investment process and demonstrated track record of outperformance.
  • A firm understanding of a variety of real estate asset classes.
  • Ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Passion for investing
  • Growth mindset towards business development
  • Independence of thought, intellectual curiosity, a positive attitude, and an entrepreneurial nature
  • Enjoys being an individual contributor within a highly collaborative team and embrace the benefits of overlapping lines of idea generation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter who can function independently
  • High personal integrity and ethical standards

 

Education

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university, MBA preferred.

 

Salary is commensurate with experience. Performance based bonus.
