Description

The Nurse Technician is a student currently enrolled in an accredited Registered Nurse program who has completed at least one academic term which included a clinical component. Functions under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and within the scope of practice defined by the Washington Administrative Code (WAC).

Required qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training Current enrollment in an approved registered nursing program, with satisfactory completion of at least one academic term which includes a clinical component. Transcripts and nursing school skills checklist must be submitted to the hospital upon hire and updated regularly.
  • 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Upon hire: Washington Nursing Technician Registration
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Approved nursing program clinical rotation
