Job Title: Vice President Sales - Beauty and Wellness Contract Manufacturing

Location: Glendale, CA

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven VP Sales to lead our efforts in expanding our client base within the beauty and wellness sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record and a focus on driving growth and net new revenue within the beauty & personal care contract manufacturing space. This role requires a strategic thinker and a “go-getter” who can effectively collaborate across departments, develop targeted prospecting/campaigns, and cultivate strong relationships with potential clients to position our services as the premier choice in the market.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the commercial leader of a small, nimble, collaborative, and capable management team driving the business.
  • Drive lead generation efforts through various channels, including digital marketing, trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities, to generate qualified leads and opportunities for the sales team.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to acquire new clients within the beauty and wellness category, aligning with company objectives and growth targets.
  • Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of sales and marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture focused on driving business success.
  • Identify and prioritize target markets, segments, and key accounts, leveraging market research and customer insights to inform sales and marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with the product development and operations teams to ensure alignment between client needs and our capabilities, offering innovative solutions and value-added services.
  • Develop compelling sales presentations, proposals, and promotional materials that effectively communicate the value proposition of our contract manufacturing services to potential clients.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at prospective client organizations, serving as a trusted advisor and partner throughout the sales process.
  • Track, analyze, and report on sales and marketing performance metrics, KPIs, and ROI, using data-driven insights to optimize strategies and drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities within the beauty and wellness space, providing recommendations for strategic initiatives and business development efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in sales and marketing roles within the beauty and personal care industry, with a focus on contract manufacturing or related services.
  • Demonstrated and proven track record of building and leading high-performing sales and marketing teams, leading from the front as an individual contributor, achieving revenue targets, and driving business growth in competitive markets.
  • Strong understanding of the beauty and wellness industry landscape, including market trends, consumer preferences, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and build rapport with diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making, able to analyze market data, identify opportunities, and develop actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, marketing automation platforms, and other sales and marketing tools preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
