Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for US and Canadian employees using SAP SuccessFactors
  • Calculate gross pay accurately for salaried and hourly employees, both exempt and non-exempt
  • Assist with SAP Payroll Parallel Testing to ensure system accuracy and efficiency
  • Research and resolve payroll, tax, and garnishment-related inquiries
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations in both the US and Canada
  • Oversee year-end processes, including W-2 and T4 preparation and distribution
  • Manage employee data, including new hires, terminations, and status changes
  • Handle confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism
  • Prepare and analyze payroll reports for management
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on payroll-related matters
  • Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations, implementing changes as needed
  • Train and mentor junior payroll staff
  • Participate in payroll system upgrades and enhancements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll administration, with at least 2 years in a senior role
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) certification preferred
  • Proficiency in SAP SuccessFactors, with experience in major upgrades preferred
  • Experience with both US and Canadian payroll processing
  • Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations in both countries
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
