Job Description:

This position will support the operations of the Crowe payroll team by applying knowledge of payroll taxes including federal, state, local, and paid family leave to maintain compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll tax adjustments to employee records as needed
  • Communicate with employees on payroll tax matters
  • Reconcile payroll taxes post processing
  • Perform routine payroll tax audits to identify noncompliance and apply corrections
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings
  • Assist and monitor amended tax filings
  • Correspond with tax agencies and ADP to resolve agency notices
  • Research and register for payroll tax accounts with governmental agencies
  • Assist with special payroll reporting
  • Provide back-up support to other Payroll team members
  • Maintain high degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality with payroll data
  • Participate in special projects and/or other duties assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' experience working in multi-state payroll
  • Experience with payroll tax returns
  • Experience working with ADP
  • Experience with Workday a plus
  • Experience with tax account setups
  • Confident working with highly sensitive/confidential information
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to follow issues through to resolution
  • FPC a plus
