Also, the candidate must be very hands-on and not only have experience of designing products but also putting products through production and regulatory compliance tests.

The job also requires coaching Jr. engineers and reviewing the design of engineers before design get released for prototyping.

Job function involves interaction with other functional groups and coordination with outside design resources.

Must be a self-motivated individual to work in a fast-paced high energy environment. This person must have project management skills including creating budget, resources assignment, schedules, as well as people management.


Experience:

  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in electro-mechanical design.
  • A working knowledge of machining and sheet metal design for low and mid volume production.
  • Excellent understanding of electro-mechanical packaging, manufacturing processes, tolerance analysis, and electronic cooling is a must.
  • Must be a present user of a 3D solids modeling package, proficiency with Solidworks would be preferable and working knowledge of EPDM.
  • Must be able to do Tolerance Analysis of complex systems, have GD&T knowledge as well as FEA knowledge.
  • Experience With ECAD-MCAD Transfer Process Is Preferred.


Education:

  • BSME Is Required and MSME Is Preferred.
