Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials and services.
  • Creating purchasing strategies based on company needs, while staying within company guidelines and regulations.
  • Securing purchases at the best prices and terms through contracts with suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Monitoring purchases to reduce costs and increase effectiveness.
  • Overseeing and approving purchases and managing the purchasing department budget.
  • Balancing the needs of the company with those of suppliers.
  • Building and cultivating relationships with vendors.

The Person

  • Substantial purchasing experience, preferably in the excavation sector and with Caterpillar equipment.
