Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Project Manager/Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and estimating industrial construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage E&I projects from conception through completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements and specifications are met.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular project meetings and provide progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Develop project execution plans and strategies to achieve project objectives.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship.
  • Prepare and submit project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and final project closeout reports.

Estimating:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for E&I projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to create accurate and competitive bids.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to gather necessary information for estimates.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and best practices.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals and presentations.
  • Track and manage all project costs to ensure budgets are maintained.
  • Develop and maintain a cost database for reference in future projects.
  • Conduct site visits to gather information for estimates and monitor project progress.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and estimating for industrial E&I projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, codes, and standards.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and completing industrial construction projects.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in project management and estimating software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, Bluebeam).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
