Concrete Paving Project Manager

CWM is looking for a talented, motivated, and experienced Project Manager to support our Concrete Paving team. In this position you will manage individual projects as well as assist the General Manager with necessary daily activities, including new estimates. Responsibilities of the Project Manager include but are not limited to improving safety, reducing costs, improving inner departmental communication, improving daily production and maintaining good client relations.


The Project Manager will monitor and ensure the continuous advancement of projects and frequently report progress to the General Manager. The Project Manager will be responsible for scheduling and managing subcontractors and coordinating schedules for self-performing crews with the General Manager. The Project Manager helps lead and motivate the Project Team, ensure consistent implementation and enforcement of company policies/procedures as well as maintaining positive employee relations. The Project Manager will also assist, as necessary, with estimating, and other duties as assigned.

  • A valid driver’s license from the state of residence – preferably GA, or willingness to relocate to GA
  • Have strong computer skills or the ability to be trained in such skills and to retain and utilize such skills to include knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam, P6 and other estimating software.
  • A team player attitude as well as the ability to take direction.
  • A minimum of 6 years of prior Project Management experience, preferably in paving or heavy civil projects
  • Basic accounting and job cost skills
  • Proven track record of taking an estimating project to a successful completion
  • Experience on scheduling paving projects and monitoring progress
  • Ability to negotiate and write Subcontracts and Purchase Orders


Hours and Days

It is intended that this position will be a full-time, year-round, salary position performed primarily Monday through Friday with Saturdays or Sundays as needed. However, this statement of intention is not to be construed as any guarantee of wages or continuation of this position. Nothing in this job description shall modify the at-will nature of this job or the at-will nature of the employer- employee relationship. Actual hours and days of performance will be determined by supervisory chain.
