This is NOT a transportation management role—we need someone with expertise in international trade, supply chain operations, and cost optimization who can touch every aspect of our business from overseas manufacturing to Amazon fulfillment.This role requires breadth—you'll support sourcing decisions, negotiate vendor contracts, optimize pick/pack operations, evaluate warehouse automation, and conduct cost analysis on everything from payment terms to duty drawbacks. If you're energized by the complexity of international supply chain operations and love finding efficiencies that directly impact the bottom line, this is your opportunity.Key Responsibilities:International Trade & Freight Forwarding:Schedule and manage container flows from manufacturers in China, India, Pakistan, and TurkeyBuild and maintain relationships with freight forwarders to optimize shipping costs and transit timesNavigate customs documentation, compliance requirements, and duty drawback opportunitiesLead implementation of Free Trade Zone (FTZ) operations to reduce duties and improve cash flowAnalyze optimal routing and consolidation strategies for overseas shipmentsWork with vendors on export documentation and compliance requirementsCost Analysis & Financial Optimization:Conduct landed cost analysis to determine most cost-effective sourcing and shipping decisionsAnalyze vendor payment terms and contract structures to identify cost savings opportunitiesEvaluate financial impact of different shipping methods, consolidation strategies, and routing optionsSupport contract negotiations with vendors and service providersTrack and reduce costs across the entire supply chain from factory to customerMake data-driven recommendations on where to ship containers and how to optimize flowsSupply Chain Operations & Vendor Management:Serve as right-hand to Logistics & Operations Director, acting in their absence as neededSupport sourcing and purchasing operations with supply chain expertise and cost analysisAssist sourcing team in vendor cost reduction projects and process improvementsDevelop and maintain relationships with overseas vendors and freight forwardersNegotiate contracts and service agreements with freight forwarders and logistics partnersSupport vendor communication channels for receiving, documentation, and compliance issuesAmazon FBA Operations:Optimize Amazon Warehousing & Distribution (AWD) and FBA inbound flows to minimize storage feesAnalyze whether to ship directly to Amazon or consolidate through our warehouseWork with warehouse General Manager on inbound/outbound FBA shipping coordinationMonitor Amazon inventory levels and adjust flows to prevent stockouts and storage limit violationsCollaborate with forecasting team to anticipate Amazon capacity requirementsWarehouse Operations Support:Organize and optimize pick/pack operations for efficiency and accuracySupport warehouse expansion project as we add 100,000+ square feet of spaceAssist in sourcing and evaluating warehouse equipment including racking systems, robotics, and automationSupport evaluation and implementation of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)Analyze warehouse capacity, receiving capabilities, and space utilizationWork with warehouse team on layout optimization, heat mapping, and process improvementsStrategic Planning & Execution:Analyze current state operations across the entire supply chain and identify improvement opportunitiesProactively track systems, anticipate bottlenecks, and implement solutions before problems escalateSupport cross-functional initiatives spanning sourcing, purchasing, warehousing, and fulfillmentCollaborate with leadership on strategic decisions affecting supply chain and operationsManage multiple projects simultaneously with a hands-on, execution-focused approachQualifications & Requirements:Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Operations Management, or related field5+ years of experience in supply chain operations, international trade, or global sourcingProven experience managing container flows from overseas manufacturersStrong background in cost analysis, landed cost calculations, and financial modelingSupply Chain & Technical Skills:Deep understanding of international supply chain operations including freight forwarding, customs, and complianceExperience with Amazon FBA/AWD operations and Seller Central or Vendor CentralAdvanced Excel skills are essential -
