Job: Systems Administrator
Type: Full-time Salaried, In-person
Description
· We are seeking a skilled and proactive Systems Administrator to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and ensuring the efficient operation of our company's computer systems, networks, and system security. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT systems and be committed to solving complex IT problems.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Install, configure, and support the organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems.
· Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
· Manage all system back-up and restore protocol.
· Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
· Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues quickly and efficiently.
· Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, and other network appliances.
· Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates, and patches.
· Manage user accounts, permissions, email, anti-virus, anti-spam.
· Oversee and perform equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
· Document network problems and resolutions for future reference.
· IT Project Management and collaboration, and vendor management.
· Provide exceptional customer service, including training for peers and staff.
Requirements and Skills:
· Ability to travel and support other corporate offices.
· Strong client-facing and communication skills, customer service oriented.
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.
· Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
· Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
· Professional certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Net+, Sec+, CCNA, AZ-900, AZ-104, etc.) is a plus.
