Overview: Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advisor to provide expert consultation on the buildout of full networks across multiple markets. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in commercial contracting, either from the provider or payer side of the healthcare industry. The Advisor will work closely with our client's team to ensure successful network expansion, leveraging their deep understanding of contracting strategies, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Consulting:

  • Provide expert guidance on the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive network strategies in multiple markets.
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscapes to inform network buildout decisions and identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop tailored contracting strategies that align with organizational goals and market conditions.

Contracting Expertise:

  • Advise on the negotiation, drafting, and execution of contracts with providers, payers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and contractual obligations, minimizing risk and maximizing value.
  • Utilize deep knowledge of commercial contracting to optimize network performance and financial outcomes.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, compliance, finance, and operations, to support network buildout initiatives.
  • Foster strong relationships with external partners, including healthcare providers, payers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations to drive strategic decision-making.

Market Expansion:

  • Lead efforts to identify and prioritize new markets for network expansion, considering factors such as market demand, competition, and regulatory environment.
  • Develop and implement market entry strategies, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of network buildout efforts, making adjustments as needed to achieve desired outcomes.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay informed of industry regulations and trends impacting network buildouts, ensuring all activities comply with local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Advise on the development and implementation of policies and procedures to maintain regulatory compliance across markets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in commercial contracting within the healthcare industry, with a focus on provider or payer contracting.
  • Proven track record of successfully advising on network buildout projects across multiple markets.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, market dynamics, and industry trends.
  • Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with both providers and payers in a consulting or advisory capacity.
  • Knowledge of value-based contracting and alternative payment models.
