The Collective Counseling & Consulting, LLC Full Time Eating Disorder Position 


The Collective Counseling & Consulting, LLC is looking to add a full-time or part-time independent contractor (1099) clinician that specializes in helping individuals with disordered eating and body image issues to our practice. 


The therapist will counsel individuals and groups regarding psychological or emotional problems such as stress, eating disorders, body image, and/or other life challenges while developing and implement therapeutic treatment plans. Will collectively work alongside practice Registered Dietitian.


We provide therapy and nutrition services to children, adolescents, and families, with room to grow. The therapist will need to be licensed in the State of Alabama and have experience in treating clients with Eating Disorders. We are located in Huntsville and have great network/referral sources nearby. 


Therapist are supported with setting up billing, managing their flexible schedules, credentialing with insurance, consistent flow of referrals, collaboration with practice Registered Dietitian and a postive along with fun team environment.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned);


  • Demonstrate the ability to provide comprehensive and ongoing assessment resulting in appropriate treatment and discharge recommendations.
  • Create an individualized treatment plan with specific and measurable goals. Must continually monitor progress and re-evaluate the appropriateness of goals, resetting as appropriate.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and practice of clinical interviewing/counseling skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to build therapeutic rapport.
  • Facilitate groups with expertise, demonstrating the ability to engage, set limits, and monitor the group process.
  • Be creative in therapeutic interventions to include homework assignments, community resources, etc.
  • Complete clinical paperwork, progress notes, and group notes in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Conduct or help in the facilitation of the Utilization Review in a timely fashion to ensure payment.
  • Demonstrate leadership in assuring continuity and quality of treatment programs, including curriculum development and group implementation.
  • Effectively communicate to other members of the treatment team about patient care and treatment.
  • Effectively and consistently communicate to referral sources and collateral providers.
  • Performs other duties assigned.

  • Assigned as-needed


Education and Experience

  • Licensed clinician preferred (Psychologist, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.)
  • Experience in treating eating disorders preferred
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapy approaches
