About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Triage Therapist to join our team at WellStone, a leading provider of behavioral healthcare services in North Alabama. As a Triage Therapist, you will play a critical role in assessing crisis clients and navigating their initial treatment plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and crisis screenings for clients entering our Emergency Services.
  • Perform assessments over the phone as needed.
  • Utilize assessment data to support a DSM V diagnosis and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with treatment team members to deliver high-quality clinical services.
  • Participate in weekend therapist rotations as needed.
  • Adhere to professional codes of ethics and maintain confidentiality.
  • Document client interactions and treatment plans in a timely and comprehensive manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and participate in ongoing education and training.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a mental health discipline.
  • Basic knowledge of working with diverse client populations and cultures.
  • Knowledge of behavior management, crisis intervention, and psychiatric rehabilitation principles.
  • Knowledge of educational methods for adults with severe and persistent psychiatric disorders.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is encouraged.
