Location: Buffalo NY (relocation assistance available)

Salary: 85-90K


Metz Culinary Management is growing and seeking an experienced Food Service Manager to serve as the Assistant Director of Hospital Dining Services in a large and multi-outlet hospital. This position requires a solid background in the Contract Dining Services Industry preferably in a Healthcare setting. Multiple outlets, Patient Dining, FOH and BOH operations leadership experience is required.


The Assistant Director has an overall responsibility of food service operations, Client relations and guest experience. He/she institutes company cycle menus and recipes; plans and oversees purchasing, employee personnel programs, scheduling, bookkeeping, customer and client relations; overseas the food preparation service and sanitation; and is accountable for the total operation results. The Assistant Director will serve as The General Manager in their absence.


Requirements and Responsibilities

Front and Back of house Management Experience in a Contract Dining Services setting

Patient Food Service/Room Service

Acute Healthcare / Hospital setting preferred

Food Service Production

Experienced managing in a Union environment

Manage Staff

Direct Sanitation and Safety

Train Supervisors

Human Resources functions, Hire, Terminate, Performance Reports, Payroll, Scheduling

Inventory and Ordering

Managing a Budget
