We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Democracy and Technology Program Manager/Project Manager to support security operations planning, administrative tasks, and customer communications & presentations for our 2024 US Elections customers and Election Situation Room. This role offers the opportunity to engage with diverse stakeholders such as political campaigns, election authorities, and technology vendors in managing project workflows, customer communications, security incident responses, and business process optimizations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, document, and execute logistics for the Election Situation Room, including cybersecurity incident response plans and customer support escalation paths.
- Directly engage with customers of varying IT maturity, presenting and explaining election security and cloud offerings.
- Project manage, track progress, update, and generate status reports & metrics for our elections workstreams.
- Coordinate administrative tasks, scheduling, and logistics to facilitate customer and internal meetings.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years overall experience in operations, security operations center, or project management.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to write and edit reports and communications tactfully and diplomatically.
- Familiarity with the US elections landscape and a passion for democracy and technology interactions.
Must have skills:
- 4 years experience with operations, security operations center, and/or project management background. Experience working with US elections, state & local governments, or campaigns is strongly preferred.
- 2 years experience with familiarity working in or around the US Elections ecosystem.
- 2 years experience with cybersecurity concepts and topics (non-technical is OK), or IT customer support functions. Background in cybersecurity with experience developing written procedures.
- 2 years experience with written communications and presentations to Executives/VIPs/high-level customers.Customer-facing experience and comfort in presenting and explaining products and services.
