Company is a turn-key site development firm, specializing in underground utilities, specifically poly/concrete pipe, earthwork operations, & concrete infrastructure. Projects include but are not limited to commercial/industrial site improvement, tract/residential developments, & municipal contracting.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Project Manager located in The Villages, FL. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of assigned projects including: planning, budgeting, resource allocation, & communication with partners & clients. They will be responsible for overseeing projects from initiation to completion; managing project teams, coordinating with subcontractors/suppliers, & tracking project milestones along the way. This role will require some on-site work at our location in The Villages, as well as occasional site visits, but flexibility for remote work is also available.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Develop construction project plans, timelines and procurement strategies
- Monitor and direct budget and schedules to ensure objectives are accomplished timely and safely
- Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on project status to stakeholders
- Manage RFIs, RFPs, POs, Submittals, Change Orders, Permits, Requests for Qualifications and other project related administrative requirements
- Coordinate and collaborate with other PMs, Estimators, Superintendents, Architects and Engineers
- Conduct/attend regular meetings to facilitate communication, address challenges and to meet project objectives
- Supervise work performed to ensure it meets company standards and quality plan
- Review drawings and specifications for constructability, completeness, and accuracy
- Promptly respond to project ad-hoc needs
- Enforce safety policies and procedures
- Ensure all on-site compliance with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules and company policies
- Apply expert level knowledge in heavy civil construction, materials, equipment, and risk management
- Performs other related duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 7-10 years of proven experience as a project manager, with specific experience within the civil construction industry
- Excellent organizational & time management skills
- Strong leadership & team management abilities
- Effective communication & negotiation skills
- Ability to treat team members and associates with professionalism and respect
- Ability to analyze data/project costs and make informed decisions
- Ability to prioritize ongoing tasks
- Understanding of/experience with project management software
- Strong knowledge of civil construction processes, regulations, and industry standards
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications – Excel and Word
- Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore, RedTeam, BuildingConnected, etc.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge of implementing construction management software a plus
- PMP and other certifications a plus
COMPENSATION
- Starting $90,000 and up - dependent upon experience
