The company's R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.The Opportunity:In collaboration with the Senior Vice President (SVP) Head of US Commercialization and the SVP Head of Global Medical Affairs, the Vice President & Head of U.S. Medical Affairs will lead the development and execution of RevMed's Medical Affairs strategy across the US, ensuring alignment with global and US objectives. This leadership role is critical to maximizing the opportunity for RevMed Innovation to impact patients in the US.The successful medical leader will develop and execute comprehensive US medical strategies to accelerate engagement with key stakeholders (health care providers, patient advocacy and professional organizations and payers). This leader will ensure that US medical considerations are embedded in the global medical strategy and plans and will partner with the SVP Head of US Commercialization and their leadership team to ensure that US access considerations are integrated in the existing and future clinical program design of the company portfolio/pipeline. The incumbent will be responsible for building and leading the US medical affairs team, including US Medical Strategy and US Field Medical. He/she will be a core member of the US Region Leadership Team and Global Medical Affairs Leadership Team.Responsibilities:Lead the development and execution of the US Medical Affairs strategy and tactical plans for RevMed's portfolio, ensuring alignment with global objectives and US market needs.As dictated by the commercialization strategy, build and lead the US Medical Affairs team, working with cross-functional leaders to ensure that each team member and function executes against clear and well-aligned business objectives.Serve as the US medical expert across the oncology portfolio, providing guidance on clinical development, market access, regulatory strategy, and commercialization plans.Support the Clinical Operations team by ensuring appropriate US site selection, quality and enrollment in-line with regulatory/compliance requirements.Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), academic institutions, cooperative groups, professional societies, and healthcare providers.Oversee medical input into payer engagement strategies and external expert consultations to support market access and reimbursement.Lead planning and development of expanded access programs in US region, as appropriate.Provide US input into scientific communication activities, including publication planning, congress strategy, and development of medical education programs.Provide US input into Real-World Evidence (RWE) initiatives, Phase IV studies, and Investigator-Sponsored or Collaborative Research.Provide US medical insight and leadership on cross-functional teams, including Global Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, US Commercial, and US Market Access.Support US launch planning.Ensure all medical activities adhere to ethical, regulatory, and compliance standards.Support the medical review of non-promotional and promotional materials and contribute to internal training and capability building for US medical teams.Represent the company at appropriate US industry conferences and events.Develop and manage the US Medical Affairs budget.Foster a culture consistent with the global RevMed values and vision/mission.Required Skills, Experience and Education:Advanced scientific degree required (MD, PhD, or PharmD) with a specialization or significant experience in oncology.Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Medical Affairs within oncology, including regional or global leadership roles.Proven ability to lead medical strategy and engage effectively with external oncology experts and stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to build and lead a high-performing medical affairs team.Strong knowledge of the US oncology landscape, including regulatory frameworks, treatment guidelines, and reimbursement pathways.Experience with scientific data generation, clinical trial interpretation, and communication of complex data to diverse audiences.Ability to work independently in a matrixed, international environment.Ability to create and nurture a strong culture of collaboration and authenticity to extend and replicate the RevMed culture.Highly organized and motivated individual possessing excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.Strong team orientation and passion for continuous self and team development.Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to create a clear sense of direction.Ability to multi-task and willingness to flexibly lead; willingness to learn new therapeutic areas and technologies.Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic small company environment and able to adjust priorities and workload based upon changing needs.Preferred Skills:Experience with an oncology launch is desired.Experience in gastrointestinal and lung cancers' preferred.The base salary range for this full-time position is $284,000 to $355,000 for candidates working onsite at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the salary for an individual working onsite in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based in. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
