Director - Asset Management, with strong Finance background and experience in luxury hotel brands – based in Florida, USA

Based at the group’s office in Florida, the Director, Asset Management role will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Asset Management. This position is for a large real estate and hotel/resort company who owns, operates, and develops luxury brand properties globally.


You will lead a team of three people in the division and collaborate with both executive and senior management, focusing primarily on the Asset Management department.


Our client’s mandatory requirements for this role include extensive experience in Finance and Asset Management divisions. Only those candidates who have working experience in luxury International hospitality and real estate groups will be considered.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Analyze and review property financial reports in line with HMA guidelines, creating analytical narratives based on observations.
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators to detect trends.
  • Attend meetings with hotel operators to assess hotel performance as required.
  • Collaborate with hotel operators to review and analyze annual operating and capital budgets in accordance with the HMA.
  • Prepare reports as stipulated by the Asset Management agreement and as requested.
  • Assist the SVP of Asset Management in preparing and delivering interim performance updates to hotel ownership proactively.
  • Understand how Capital Improvements affect operating budgets and the FF&E Reserve fund balance.
  • Foster strong working relationships with hotel operation teams.
  • Maintain productive relationships with colleagues, seeking and offering assistance based on expertise.
  • Conduct special project analyses as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:


  • Mandatory requirements include; knowledge and experience in Finance and Asset Management divisions.
  • Strong knowledge and background in Luxury Hospitality Group is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Hospitality.
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry, ideally with a financial focus.
  • Familiarity with hospitality terminology is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel at an advanced level.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, capable of achieving outstanding results with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of online data room storage programs such as BOX.com.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.


Compensation:

Annual Salary is based on experience and skill set.
