A well capitalized firm with a 25+ year track record as a market-leading hedge fund investing in distressed public investments as well as direct lending, is looking to add a Performance Analyst to their team Given market conditions and synergies with their existing investors, my client is focused on continuing to grow their Private Credit arm aggressively, and they are looking for a Performance Analyst to help support this growth.
Because you'd be joining as the firm builds out their Charlotte office, you will have a unique opportunity to get in close to the ground floor of this new office, join an exceptionally high-performing firm, and have high visibility to both the Portfolio Management and Investor Relations teams. They have a very flat structure as well, so there is significant opportunity to develop quickly, take even greater ownership over your work, and have a big impact earlier on in your career.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop reporting for Private Credit Funds
- Creation/maintenance of marketing materials (i.e., track record, performance updates, etc.)
- Prepare and review of quarterly investor reporting deliverables
- Ad hoc investor inquiries
- Financial reporting/ performance analysis
Skills and Requirements:
- Understanding of key portfolio company financial metrics (EBITDA, Leverage, LTV, ICR)
- Excellent Excel skills, technically savvy and experienced in analyzing large data files. Bonus if candidate has experience with programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python, VBA)
- 4-6 years’ experience at a private credit fund, hedge fund or other financial institution, in a role requiring familiarity calculating performance and exposure metrics
- Strong academic track record as demonstrated by SAT scores and GPA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible, quick learner with the ability to multi-task
- Strong team contributor with proactive drive to deliver results
- CFA or desire to pursue CFA preferred
