Bridge Park Events Specialist


Summary

The Bridge Park Events Specialist assists in the planning and execution of Bridge Park events, including annual programming, large-scale events, and resident social media engagement. Under the supervision of the Director of Events and Programming, the Bridge Park Events Specialist also runs The Dublin Market at Bridge Park every Saturday morning from the beginning of May through the end of September. Exceptional communication skills and professionalism are essential, as well as a commitment to creating polished, memorable events that uphold the Bridge Park brand. Evening and weekend work is required.


Job Responsibilities (responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following)

The Dublin Market at Bridge Park -- every Saturday from early May through late September

● Serve as the key point of contact at The Dublin Market, focusing on exceptional vendor relations, crisis management, and the execution of the event

● Oversee the ManageMyMarket platform

o Invoice vendors for booth space

o Determine vendor placement

o Manage the budget and substantiate variances

o Update rules and regulations

o Ensure vendor insurance is in place

o Pay musicians

● Coordinate with Property Management each week on staffing and logistics

● Assign tasks to staff and volunteers

● Program the market throughout the season with live music, family-friendly activities, and community partnerships

● Work on promotional, collateral, and sponsorship opportunities throughout the season

● Solicit new vendors to keep the market fresh

Bridge Park Events – requires some evening and weekend hours

● Lead large-scale initiatives and events, including ForeFest, the Summer Music Series, Boo & Brew, 12 Days of Bridge Park, and other seasonal programming

● Perform boots-on-the-ground operations and logistics

● Keep the Bridge Park event calendar up-to-date with company-led events and promotions; identify scheduling gaps and redundancies

● Submit event permit applications and grant applications; attend permit meetings and local stakeholder meetings, as needed

● Collaborate with Property Management on the operational components attached to events and programming, including walkthrough planning, staffing needs, budgets, trash, loading/unloading, power access availability, street closures, traffic impacts, wayfinding, and debrief meetings

● Assign tasks to staff and volunteers at events

● Attend all commercial tenant meetings; get involved, be approachable, create relationships

Bridge Park Resident Events & Communications

● Promote and post regularly in the resident Facebook group (at least 1-2 times per week)

● Draft and create the monthly resident newsletter

● Post signage in the elevators for both commercial and residential events

● Work on collateral and communication needs, materials, social media giveaways, and promotions


General

• Respond to vendors, coworkers, and event partners in a timely and supportive manner

• Work on special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Education and Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in event planning, marketing or a related field

• Excellent design skills and proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign)

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving and multitasking skills

• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation


Work Environment

The Bridge Park Events Specialist is required to work every Saturday throughout The Dublin Market season. During that time, this individual will work a shifted work schedule that includes one weekday off. Outside of the market season, typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00pm. Some evening and weekend hours are required throughout the year, depending on the event. The Bridge Park Events Specialist regularly interfaces with external and internal customers, residents, and vendors.


Reporting Structure

The Bridge Park Events Specialist reports to the Director of Events and Programming.


Physical Requirements

The candidate’s physical condition must be sufficient for the consistent and successful completion of the responsibilities defined for this position and for conformance with all professional standards defined for this position. This position frequently requires standing, walking, sitting, and reaching with hands and arms. It may require lifting up to twenty-five pounds. This employee must be able to drive during the course of work.
