Cultivation Technician

Spark1 is looking for some Cultivation Technicians to join our team in Bozeman NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. Daily tasks including, but not limited to; watering, feeding, flushing, pruning, washing, cloning, transplanting, harvesting, trimming, grow room cleaning and maintenance. The Cultivation Technician will maintain records. Confirming and cultivation data is appropriately and accurately logged in the company’s software tracking system in compliance with Company processes and state regulations

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Ensuring accuracy in plant inventory accuracy, including the names of strains, plant tag numbers, as well as taking counts of plants
• Implement cultivation practices under the Cultivation Manager’s directives.
• Ensure that the health of vegetative, flowering, and immature plants are maintained by observing and following the industry standard of operation. 
• Responsible for maintaining the plant, feeding, and setting up the irrigation system as well as the control of pests.
• Ensure that worksite tools, production areas, as well as other equipment found in the cultivation site, are regularly sanitized.
• The Cultivation Technician will record the use of pesticides as well as plant issues on discovery. 
• Ensures a pest-free cultivation site as well as other contaminants including diseases and viruses by using personal protective equipment as well as biological controls.
• The Cultivation Technician keenly monitors and offers instant solutions to issues that arise with plants, equipment operation, and environmental challenges. 
• Implement a plant maintenance program which is under the cultivation manager’s supervision.
• Clearing the cultivation site after harvest and putting things in order. These include cleaning all work areas, preparing for the transplanting of crops as well as sanitizing crop benches. 
• Demonstrate a high level of accuracy as well as thoroughness in ensuring plant health is up to par.
• Assist in inspections, regardless of being initiated by a governing body through compliance audits and inventory, or initiated internally.
• Maintain sanitary conditions and a high level of organization within the cultivation site.
• Time-efficient as well as using coordinated workflow to increase productivity

• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment
• Strong attention to detail, especially when dealing with plant health and data-tracking
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
• Demonstrate strong communication skills
• Work collaboratively in a team environment to accomplish company objectives with either direct or indirect authority.
• Excellent prioritization, planning, organization, time management and multitasking skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labor
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
