Erie Family Health Centers, a top workplace in Chicago and suburbs, is looking for a valuable addition to our Behavioral Health team The Clinical Director of Psychiatry will partner with Senior Provider Leadership and Health Promotions and Outreach Leadership to plan and implement Erie’s model of care and organizational goals. Supervises and supports psychiatry physicians and psychiatry APRNs. Supports collaboration of psychiatry staff with Site Medical Directors and provider colleagues to assure their success and the quality of care, patient satisfaction, and productivity of their teams. Responsible for the quality of care for psychiatry throughout the organization.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Accountable for the quality of care, patient satisfaction and financial performance for the sites and teams assigned by the Chief Clinical Officer.
- Selects, orients, coaches, evaluates, and disciplines psychiatrists and psychiatric APRNs.
- Sets performance goals and objectives for psychiatry team in conjunction with their Senior Provider Leadership supervisor, Clinical Director of Behavioral Health, and Senior Director of Patient Programs and Health Equity.
- Identifies individual psychiatrist and psychiatry APRN needs for professional growth and development and provides opportunities to meet those needs.
- Sets staffing priorities for psychiatric providers across sites in collaboration with the Site Medical Directors.
- Supports the Chief Clinical Officer in the credentialing and privileging of psychiatric providers.
- Provides leadership for designing, communicating, implementing, and refining Erie’s processes of care for psychiatry in collaboration with staff and leadership in each area.
- Develops, implements, and maintains compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines for psychiatry throughout Erie to assure care of the highest quality and maintain compliance with Joint Commission, HRSA, FTCA, Managed Care, PCMH, Meaningful Use, Title X, and other assigned standards.
- Contributes to psychiatric component of Erie’s 24-hour answering service protocols, outpatient coverage, emergency consultation coverage during business hours, and other systems necessary to assure outstanding access to care for Erie’s patients.
- Facilitate access to psychiatry services to meet quality measure performance goals on metrics such as post-hospitalization follow up via collaboration with Senior Director of Patient Programs and Health Equity.
Skills and Knowledge
- Basic rescuer CPR Certification
- Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) preferred, dependent on Erie site and/or population served. (May be required to assist or work with non-English/Spanish only speaking patients and/or guests.)
- Ability to conduct individual and/or group presentations
- Demonstrated cultural competency working with diverse communities
Experience
- 5 years of post-residency experience required
Education
- Physician, board certified in Psychiatry
