Experience Required


• 10+ years of professional experience in application development

• Hand-on experience in installing and configuring Kong API Gateway and integrating with existing APIs

• Experience with Enterprise Kong, Kong Konnect, Kubernetes, OAuth Grant type and authentication protocols

• Experience in maintaining the public API specification and documentation using KONG Developer portal

• Knowledge about API design standards patterns, open API specifications and best practices especially Swagger and OpenAPI 2.0, REST, JSON, XML

• Proven skill in implementing APIs that are consumed by web applications and mobile native applications

Roles & Responsibilities:


• Design, develop, and maintain microservices

• Support and manage Enterprise Kong and Kong Konnect

• Collaborate with architects and development teams to ensure API solutions align with business requirements and best practice.

• Design, develop, a nd implement Restful APIs using Java and related technologies.

• Develop, configure, and maintain API proxies on Apigee (OPDK)

Monitor, troubleshoot, and debug issues on API Gateway platforms.


Generic Managerial Skills:


• Experience working in a highly agile (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) environment

• Understanding of SOAP, REST, JSON technologies

• Experience working in a PaaS/SaaS environment

• Demonstrated ability to influence and consult including providing options with pros, cons and risks around key technical decisions during design and implementation

• Strong organizational skills and understanding of the Project Management lifecycle

• Experience in cloud services like Azure, Vertex, AWS etc.

Should have knowledge of APIGEE EDGE and added advantage if have knowledge of migration from APIGEE EDGE to KONG
